Find on Page: (text string search on a page)
  1. Click onto the "white space" of the page to make the page "active" - this tells the browser that this is the Page that you want to work with..
  2. Click on the word Edit on the toolbar and then click on Find in Page. (or Press and hold the Ctrl key and then press f)
  3. A dialogue box will appear prompting you to enter the text you are looking for.
  4. Enter the text, in this case the word welcome, (or just the first few letters as it automatically works with truncation) and click on Find (or hit the enter button)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

welcome to a lower part of the screen

  You should see the text highlighted on the page where it appears. If the text you are searching for doesn't exist on the screen or if you've seen all the occurrences of the text a "Search String not found" message will appear.
