Exploring the World Wide WebMouse Practice This is where we start scrolling. Remember, "scrolling" is simply "clicking" on certain areas of the screen to move a page up, down, right, or left. On the screen you'll notice a scroll bar to the right and to the bottom of this text. Each scroll bar has two arrows - the scrollbar on the right moves you up and down a page, the one on the bottom moves you right and left. By "clicking" on the arrow one time, you move one line up, down, right or left. If you click and hold, you will rapidly move up, down, to the right, or to the left. To get to this page's link you will need to scroll down the page. To scroll down, all you have to do is click on the arrow that's pointing down on the lower right hand side of the screen until you see the link. Many times a web page will have important content below what you are seeing on the screen. When this happens all you have to do is scroll to it. One way of telling if there is more content down a page is to look to see if there is a right hand side scroll area with an elevator. If not, then you are seeing everything, if there is one then there is more content to scroll to. Tip: If the elevator is very small there is a lot of content on the page, if it's pretty big then there is only a little more. |
